We are looking for a skilled and experienced research audiologist.
Audiological research is integrated both in the activities of the Hearing Systems Section at DTU Health Tech and the ENT & Aud. clinic in Copenhagen. The Hearing Systems Section includes the internationally recognized Centre for Applied Hearing Research and the Oticon Centre of Excellence for Hearing and Speech Sciences. The Copenhagen Hearing and Balance Centre (CHBC) is one of the largest units for audiological diagnostics and otolaryngology in Europe and divided in three centers at Rigshospitalet, Gentofte Hospital, and Bispebjerg Hospital.
In your position as a research audiologist, you will:
- Recruit research participants for projects at DTU and at CHBC
- Perform audiological screening of new participants in experimental research
- Collect data for clinical audiological research projects
- Act as a contact person between research participants and scientific/administrative staff
- Assist with teaching activities related to clinical and experimental audiology
- Contribute to administrative duties linked to research participants
- Contribute to the application processes for ethical approval of new research projects
You will be part of our technical-administrative support team and will support our scientific staff and contribute to joint university/clinical research projects as a continued collaboration between the Hearing Systems Section at DTU and the research group at CHBC at Rigshospitalet.
Our expectations of you
At a minimum, you must have a master’s degree (or equivalent) in audiology or a related field.
You should be comfortable in both university and clinical research settings. You must be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge and some practical experience in the following areas:
- Hearing evaluation and clinical diagnostic techniques
- Clinical and technical audiology
In the assessment of the candidates, consideration will be given to:
- Experience in working with hearing-impaired patients
- Experience with fitting hearing-assistive devices
- Knowledge of auditory and audiological research methods
- Adaptability to new experimental measurement methods
- Rigor in carrying out measurements and handling data
- Interest in contributing to auditory and audiological research
- Effective communication skills in both Danish and English

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.
